The flu vaccine protects us from the four influenza viruses that are currently going around that season.
Yes, there is a High-Dose Quadrivalent Vaccine (Fluad) for 65 years and older. You can refer to this table https://www.cdc.gov/flu/professionals/acip/2022-2023/acip-table.htm for more information on which vaccine is right for you.
- Women who are pregnant or 2 weeks postpartum
- Patients with chronic illnesses – asthma, kidney and liver disease, diabetes, cardiovascular issues
- Elderly patients – 65 years and older

- Soreness and redness at injection site
